Gary Regan - a good old no-nonsense bartender, making a good old no-nonsense cocktail. And done in a good old no-nonsense way. Gary had arguably the simplest of the routines, as he starts to make an Old Fashioned. A dash of Angustura Bitters over sugar cubes is crushed together. He then adds ice and Zacapa rum, poured in Gary’s unique way to add a dash of humour. To finish he gives it a stir then he pours the drink through a strainer. We do the rest by animating 3D liquid out of the frame. An ‘Old Fashioned’ cocktail given a modern twist.
What a blast I had helping make this video. And you’d never know that I was drunk out of my mind when I did it, would you? Peter Dorelli was crouched down under the bar holding my legs so I wouldn’t fall down and Angus Winchester was standing in front of me chanting “Stay awake, Gaz; Stay awake Gaz . . . ” Itg was pretty surreal.
Gary!!
Great viedo!!
I guess being blasted out of your mind suits you. I never would have guessed.
What version of Mixing Spoon 1.0 did you take? And those lovely little swirls in the spoon for……..?
