The Italian playboy was born in Rome, Italy in 1940, came to England aged 18 and never looked back. In 1963 he joined the Savoy group at Stones Chop House London as the head barman of the Pebble Bar until 1980. He then moved on to the Savoy American Bar where he quickly became the head barman, and remained there until he retired in 2003. During his illustrious career, Peter has been a member and president of the Bartender’s Guild, won numerous awards and is constantly running training courses and education programmes for the new breed of budding Peter Dorellis. His favourite cocktail is the Mojito and any spare time he manages to acquire is devoted to his other passion, golf.
